Sony announces Xperia M2, Xperia Z2, and Xperia Z2 Tablet
Sony has announced several new devices at Mobile World Congress. This includes the Xperia Z2, the Xperia M2, and the Xperia Z2 tablet. Below is a break-down of all of the devices.
The Xperia M2 has a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 8 megapixel camera, LTE, and 2300mAh battery. The M2 has a 4.8-inch qHD screen. Sony is also going to offer a dual-SIM variant of the Xperia M2, which lets users have always active SIM cards and custom ring tones.
The Xperia Z2 looks similar to the predecessors — the Z and Z1. Except the Z2 has a 5-inch screen. The Xperia Z2 has a 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 20.7 megapixel camera with a 1/2.3-inch image sensor, 3GB RAM, and 3200mAh battery. The Z2 camera has a Timeshift video feature that lets users shoot in 120 frames per second. The Xperia Z2 is dust-resistant and is waterproof based on IP55 and IP58 specifications.
Xperia Z2 Tablet
The Xperia Z2 Tablet has a 10.1-inch display that is thin and waterproof. In terms of thickness, the Z2 Tablet is only 6.4mm. This makes the tablet thinner than the Xperia Z1 (8.5mm), the iPhone 5s (7.6mm), and iPad Air (7.4mm). The Xperia Z2 tablet weighs only 426g (WiFi) and 439g (LTE/3G model). The Z2 Tablet also has a 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, Adreno 330 GPU, 3GB of RAM, 8.1-megapixel camera, a 6000mAh battery, and a full HD screen.
