IBM may be laying off up to 25% of its hardware group
You may remember that IBM sold their x86 server business to Lenovo. What this means is that some workers will have to be laid off. IBM did not specify how large the layoffs will be, but sources have sold CNET that it would be 25% of the Systems and Technology division that produces servers. Fortunately, the cloud computing and Watson divisions at IBM is growing and is creating more jobs.
