ClassDojo raises $8.5 million
ClassDojo is a mobile-education platform company that has raised $8.5 million in funding from Shasta Ventures, Yuri Milner, General Catalyst, SoftTech VC, and SV Angel. ClassDojo previously raised $1.6 million in seed funding back in August 2012 along with resources from the K12 accelerator.
ClassDojo specifically focuses on helping classroom behavior management by offering flexibility to teachers and gamifies good behavior for students, according to VentureBeat. ClassDojo lets teachers track the progress of students and shares reports with parents / administrators.
ClassDojo was founded by Sam Chaudhary and Liam Don in 2011. There are over 20 million registered users on the platform around the world.
