Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) has launched a Messenger app for Windows Phone. The native Facebook Messenger app is now available on the Windows Phone Store for download now.

Windows Phone always had built-in Facebook messaging, but the Messenger app supports features like group chatting, stickers, and photo messaging. There is also location sharing enabled so that you can view or manage contacts on the service.

The built-in Facebook messenger feature is going to be replaced with the separate app, similar to how Xbox Music and Video services are being separated from the built-in versions on Windows Phone.

You can download the app from this link.
