Google said that interest in Hawaii has shot up in terms of search trends. In the last 30 days, searches for “Hawaii” increased 78%. Now Google will let you “take a trip” to Hawaii by adding hiking trails, parks, historical sites, and beaches to Google Street View. Google announced the Trekker Loan Program last summer. Their first partner was the Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau (HVCB). The HVCB collected Street View imagery from many popular areas around the islands of Hawaii and Oahu.
