Indian classifieds website Quikr raises $90 million
Quikr has raised $90 million in a new round of funding from a group of investors led by Kinnevik. This brings Quikr to a total of $136 million with a valuation of $250 million.
Quikr is one of the fastest growing Internet companies in India and receives around 30 million unique visitors per month. The company is seeing around $50 million in annual revenues made through advertising and premium listings.
“Quikr has grown rapidly based on a deep understanding of the Indian market,” stated Mia Brunell Livfors, CEO of Kinnevik said in a statement. “It’s targeting a tremendous opportunity in a large growth market and we look forward to being a part of its exciting journey forward.”
