Google has dropped the price of Google Drive. Now Google Drive starts at $1.99 for 100GB, effective immediately. Google said that the price reductions were made because of new infrastructure improvements. Here are the changes in price:

– $1.99 for 100 gigabytes (used to be $4.99)
– $9.99 for one terabyte (used to be $49.99)
– $99.99 for 10 terabytes and higher

The free option will remain at 15GB of cloud storage option. This is better than the free 10GB provided by Box and 2GB provided by Dropbox.

“You can sign up for one of these new Google Drive storage plans at www.google.com/settings/storage. If you already pay for storage, you’ll automatically move to a better plan at no additional cost. You can visit the storage purchase page to make a change or review your account,” said Google in a blog post.
