Amazon.com, Inc. (AMZN) reportedly sent set-top streaming device to developers
Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) is reportedly preparing to launch a streaming set-top box device. Apparently preproduction hardware is being sent to developers ahead of a debut in April. The streaming device has been in development for at least a year. It will likely complement the Prime streaming library, according to The Wall Street Journal. Retail stores like Best Buy and Staples are believed to be selling the device next month. The device is believed to have the “Fire” branding. There are hints at a new next-generation Apple TV that will be released around that time.
