Ford makes fun of the Cadillac ‘Poolside’ ad
During the Winter Olympics, General Motors aired a TV ad called “Poolside.” The Poolside ad starred Neal McDonough and talked about the upside of working hard. McDonough said that other countries takes the month of August off as a whole.
“Are we nuts when we pointed to the moon? That’s right. We went up there and you know what we got? Bored. So we left. Got a car up there, left the keys in it. Do you know why? Because we are the only ones going back up there, that’s why. But I digress. Its pretty simple. You work hard. You create your own luck and you’ve got to believe anything is possible,” added McDonough in the ad. People made fun of the ad for being too arrogant.
And Ford Motor Company has decided to take GM’s “Poolside” ad to create a parody of it. The Ford parody stars Pashon Murray, founder of Detroit Dirt, which is a sustainability consultancy and advocacy group.
