Storefront raises $7.3 million in funding
Storefront has raised $7.3 million in funding led by Spark Capital. Mohr Davidow Ventures, Great Oaks Venture Capital, 500 Startups, Box Group, SV Angel, Gary Vaynerchuk, Nas, Tom Glocer, Vikram Pandit and Troy Carter participated in this round.
Storefront is a 10-employee startup in San Francisco that runs a marketplace where merchants and marketers can find and book a store space for several days or months.
Storefront has a group of non-traditional spaces including kiosks or booths at malls, trade shows, flea markets, art fairs, etc. It also has “shop-in-shops,” which are spaces for rent within existing stores and restaurants.
Founded in 2012, Storefront participated in the AngelPad accelerator in San Francisco. Storefront raised $1.6 million in seed funding after that.
Storefront will be using the funding to expand into major metropolitan areas like San Francisco, New York and newly in Los Angeles.
