Genesis Media raises $10 million in Series B

Video tech platform Genesis Media has raised $10 million in Series B funding led by Blue Chip Venture Company with participation from Crown Predator Holdings. The funding will be used for product development.

“Genesis Media believes that sometimes it’s more important to not serve an ad than it is to serve the wrong ad,” stated Genesis Media CEO Mark Yackanich.

Genesis Media was created through the merger of TVGenesis and Beezag in November 2011. The company creates highly valued video ad space in front of editorial content for publishers. Its ad formers include interstitial overlay video players and in-page video ad units.
