Campaign Monitor raises $250 million in funding

Campaign Monitor has raised $250 million in funding from Insight Venture Partners. Campaign Monitor is a software-as-a-service based e-mail marketing company. This is Campaign Monitor’s first round of funding. Insight’s Deven Parekh (managing director) and Nikitas Koutoupes (managing director), and Dan May (associated) is joining the Campaign Monitor’s board of directors.

Campaign Monitor was founded in 2004 and was profitable every quarter since launching. The company’s sales have been growing at double digits every year for the last decade. The funding will be used for continued product innovation and global expansion.

“Campaign Monitor began with a goal of making email marketing an enjoyable and intuitive experience for designers and marketers – and that mission has fueled our product innovation for the last decade. We’re pleased to partner with Insight as we continue to build a world-class email marketing platform and invest in further international growth,” said Campaign Monitor co-founder David Greiner.

Campaign Monitor’s e-mail marketing solution is used by creative agencies and major global companies. Campaign Monitor has over 100,000 active paying customers in over 170 countries.
