‘Silicon Valley’ TV show renewed for second season
The TV show “Silicon Valley” is about a team of programmers that are building a startup called “Pied Piper.” The third episode of the show air last night and it has already been renewed for a second season. The show debuted to 2 million viewers this month and is the best-rated new half-hour series since Hung aired in 2009.
The creator of the show is Mike Judge, who is also known for Beavis and Butt-Head, King of the Hill, Office Space, Extract, and Idiocracy.
HBO has also created a landing page for the fake company with all sorts of buzzwords that is used in the Valley. “Pied Piper is a multi-platform technology based on a proprietary universal compression algorithm that has consistently fielded high Weisman Scores™ that are not merely competitive, but approach the theoretical limit of lossless compression,” says the fake landing page for the company in an about page.
