Weebly raises $35 million at $455 million valuation
Weebly is a service that makes it easier to build websites. The company has raised $35 million in funding from Tencent and Sequoia Capital with a $455 million valuation.
The website builder company now sees around 175 million global unique visitors per month. Weebly utilizes drag-and-drop tools and does not require people to have a coding background to build websites.
Weebly was founded by three Penn State students in 2006. It now hosts over 20 million websites. Weebly did not disclose its revenue, but it is profitable and has been cash-flow positive since 2009.
