Lucasfilm announces Star Wars: Episode VII cast
Lucasfilm has announced the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII. The cast includes several Star Wars veterans and a number of new faces. The cast includes Star Wars vets Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, and Mark Hamill along with Attack the Block’s John Boyega, Girls‘ Adam Driver, and motion-capture master Andy Serkis. Other returning cast members include Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca), Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), and Kenny Baker (R2-D2).
“We are so excited to finally share the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII,” stated director J.J. Abrams in a statement posted on StarWars.com. “It is both thrilling and surreal to watch the beloved original cast and these brilliant new performers come together to bring this world to life, once again.”
Some of the other actors announced for the film includes Oscar Isaac, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, and Daisy Ridley. The film will start shooting in a couple weeks. Star Wars: Episode VII will hit theaters Dec. 18, 2015.
