Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) has announced #AmazonCart, which is a service that lets you add Amazon products to your shopping cart without leaving Twitter. You will have to connect your Twitter and Amazon accounts to make the feature work through your social settings.

From there, you have to reply with #AmazonCart to any tweet that contains an Amazon product link and it will be added to your shopping cart. The service is called #AmazonBasket for U.K. shoppers. This service seems like it is only available in the U.S. and U.K. so far.

Even though the products are placed into your cart, #AmazonCart does not let you purchase the product directly. You will receive an e-mail and a reply tweet from Amazon that outlines the status of your request. Amazon will tell you in the tweet if the product was successfully added or if the item is out of stock.
