Former Time Warner CEO Richard Parsons to oversee L.A. Clippers
Former Time Warner CEO Richard Parsons will be named interim CEO of the Los Angeles Clippers. Parsons left Time Warner at the end of 2007 and became chairman of Citigroup after that.
Parsons will be filling in for Donald Sterling, who was booted out of the NBA after a leaked video of him saying racist comments was leaked to TMZ. The NBA also forced president Andy Roeser to take a leave of absence. Sterling may fight to maintain control of the team, which he owned for over 30 years.
Sterling’s wife Shelly wants to retain ownership despite the actions taken against her husband. Parsons used to work on President Obama’s economic advisory transition team.
