Storehouse is a company that has built a visual storytelling app for the iPad using text, video, and images. Storehouse has received $7 million in funding from Sherpa Ventures, True Ventures, Lerer Ventures, and Designer Fund. Storehouse was co-founded by former Apple iPhone exec Mark Kawano. Kawano also worked at Adobe Frog Design.

Some users in other countries are using the app to create textbooks and instructional stories. The app has been downloaded hundreds of thousands of times.

The funding will be used for increasing staff and to keep the product free to drive growth. It will also be used to grow the web version of the product and integrate video features into the app.
