Toshiba launches Excite Go Android tablet

Toshiba has announced a new 7″ Android tablet that is powered by Android 4.4 KitKat and has a starting price of only $109.99. The Excite Go tablet has a satin gold finish and weighs only 12.5 ounces. The Excite Go has a capacitive multi-touch display with 1024×600 resolution. It also has a quad-core Intel Atom processor and comes pre-loaded with a full version of OfficeSuite Pro. The Excite Go provides up to 7.5 hours of charge or up to 6 hours of video playbook. It comes with up to 16GB of internal storage, a micro USB port, and a microSD card slot that is capable of supporting 128GB SDXC cards.

“Consumers love handheld Android tablets as they offer portable entertainment at accessible prices and can be easily added as an additional device in the home,” stated Philip Osako, senior director of product marketing, Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., Digital Products Division. “The Excite Go is yet another example of Toshiba’s ability to provide affordable tablets with the latest version of Android, competitive features like Intel processors and solid build quality.”

The tablet also comes with the Toshiba TruCapture app, which improves the readability of images from whiteboards and books by removing borders, straightening distortion, reducing glare.
