MySpace reminds users to come back by showing them old, awkward photos
MySpace wants users to come back to its forgotten social network by showing you old and awkward photos that you uploaded to the website. MySpace e-mailed photos to users of their profiles as part of an effort to bring users back, according to Mashable.
MySpace sent e-mails with the subject line: “Your Photos are Back!” The e-mails contain a couple of old pictures with the line “The good, the rad and the what were you thinking…” The e-mails also have a link that directs users back to their old profile. This only works if the user has the same e-mail address now as they did while using the website.
MySpace is owned by Justin Timberlake and Specific Media. The company has around 15 billion photos in its database. Since Facebook is now the dominant social network, MySpace decided to focus more on artists and music.
