Sony announces world’s slimmest 5.3-inch phone: Xperia T3
Sony has announced the Xperia T3 smartphone, which is touted as the “world’s slimmest 5.3-inch phone.” The Xperia T3 is 7mm thick and is made of durable stainless steel material. The 5.3-inch display has a 720p resolution and uses HD TRILUMINOS for sharp picture quality. The phone also has Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2 technology. The back of the phone is made of matte plastic with white, black, or purple color options.

Some of the camera apps that comes with the phone enhances the way that users create and share photos. Social Live lets users broadcast important events as they happen over at Facebook. There is an AR Effect that gives the camera new sound effects and animations that can be included in photos and videos. There is a timeshift burst that lets the camera take 31 frames in 2 seconds to make sure that the perfect picture is taken. Creative Effects lets you add several effects to photos. And there is a portrait retouching feature.
Other specs include Android 4.4.2 KitKat, Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 MSM8X28 chipset, 1.4GHz quad-core processor, Adreno 305 graphics, 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage with expansion through a microSD memory card, an 8 megapixel Exmor RS rear camera, 1.1MP 720p Exmor R front-facing camera, 2500mAh battery, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, ANT+ and NFC.
Sony is launching the Xperia T3 globally in July. The price is unknown.
