Grouper shuts down international operations
Grouper is a dating startup that has shut down its international operations and fired some of its staff overseas and in the U.S. Grouper employed at least 30 employees before laying off many of them.
Grouper can connect three friends with a second group of friends of the opposite (or same) gender for social events. The gatherings are known as “ready-made” parties rather than a date. Grouper is “temporarily” no longer offered in London.
Some of the executives that departed from the company before the layoffs took place include Grouper’s director of international operations Kristen Badal, business development manager Gesche Haas, community manager Lexi Aiassa, and director of community Jaclyn Fu. Grouper is still available in 25 cities.
