Freshdesk raises $31 million in funding
Freshdesk is a cloud-based customer support company that has raised $31 million in funding led by Tiger Global Management with participation from Accel Partners and Google Capital.
This new round of funding will be used to accelerate global expansion and for ramping up the R&D for Freshservice, which is an IT service desk solution that was launched in January.
This past December, Freshdesk raised $7 million from existing investors Tiger Global and Accel Partners. Freshdesk has raised a total of $44 million across multiple rounds since launching in 2011. Freshdesk has 23,000 customers across 175 countries, including Hugo Boss, Goodreads, The Atlantic and 3M.
“We’re proud to have the continued support of our existing investors, Accel and Tiger,” stated Freshdesk founder and CEO Girish Mathrubootham. “And we’re absolutely thrilled to have Google Capital as part of this round. We will continue to focus on helping companies deliver great support to their customers.”
