Puppet Labs raises $40 million in funding
Puppet Labs has raised $40 million in Series E funding, thus raising a total of $86 million in funding. Puppet Labs, an IT automation company, will be using the cash to expand globally and invest in R&D. This is likely going to be Puppet Labs’ last round of funding before going public. The company should be cash-flow positive in late 2015.
Puppet Labs specializes in helping companies that need to manage and automate backend infrastructures. Puppet Labs is currently working with a large retailer to manage 7,800 point-of-sales systems throughout the world.
Some of Puppet Labs’ largest customers are Intel, GitHub, and Conde Nast. Based in Portland, Oregon, Puppet Labs has 320 employees.
