Fingerprint has raised $10.85 million in funding to roll out its kids mobile play-and-learn networks across 7 new networks. This round of funding was led by DreamWorks with participation from Corus Entertainment and Reed Elsevier Ventures.

Fingerprint plans to roll out its global networks by the end of this year. The funding will also be used for new games, apps, videos, and e-books. Fingerprint plans to introduce more than 600 apps, 50 e-books, and new video services for kids.

The investment from DreamWorks is strategic as it will likely provide media and entertainment to Fingerprint. Fingerprint has received over 400 submissions from developers in 30 countries.

The developers were spread across countries like Japan, Finland, Israel, and Poland. Some of Fingerprint’s partners include Smart Education, Ducky Deck, BabyBus, TinyTap, Speakaboos and BabyFirst.

Fingerprint runs its own network called Fingerprint Play as well as Samsung KidsTime, Sylvan Learning, and Astro.
