GuideSpark Raises $22.2 Million In Series C Funding

Employee communications and engagement company GuideSpark has raised $22.2 million in Series C funding. This round of funding was led by Meritech Capital Partners with participation from New Enterprise Associates, Storm Ventures and IDG Ventures.

“Meritech’s investment continues to validate the tremendous market opportunity GuideSpark has to transform how companies engage and connect with employees,” said GuideSpark’s CEO Keith Kitani. “We are proud to be working with some of the country’s premier technology investors; their support is instrumental in taking our company to the next level as we continue to transform employee communications.”

With this funding round, GuideSpark is able to carry on its mission in revolutionizing employee communications and better serve its growing customer base. This funding will also support growth across the company including marketing, sales, product development, content, infrastructure and business development.

Founded in 2008, GuideSpark has developed solutions to help the way companies communicate with their employees through the use of customized, engaging, and cost-effective videos. GuideSpark helps companies educate employees on a range of complex topics like benefits, health care reform and compensation programs. As a result, employers are able to provide an interactive user experience that resonates with teams and leads to an informed workforce.

Meritech Capital Partners managing director Craig Sherman is also joining GuideSpark’s board of directors. Sherman is also known for serving as the COO of Ancestry.com and as CEO of Gaia Interactive.
