Metamarkets, a real-time analytics company, has raised $15 million in funding led by Data Collective. John Battelle and City National Bank also joined this round along with existing investors Khosla Ventures, IA Ventures, True Ventures, and Village Ventures.

“Every day, thousands of users turn to Metamarkets’ dashboards for granular insights into tens of billions of ad transactions,” said Metamarkets co-founder and CEO Mike Driscoll. “Our clients are the pioneers of these new digital markets, whose daily trading volumes dwarf those of Wall Street. We’re proud to deliver an analytics solution that can keep pace with their speed and scale.”

Metamarkets’ platform combines real-time technologies such as stream processing, a time-series database, and interactive visualization into a unified SaaS solution. This technology is scalable for the unique volume of its clients’ data, which are linked to the $20 billion programmatic media markets.

With access to up-to-the-second data, Metamarkets allows users to set alerts on trends and share live dashboards with internal colleagues and external partners. This helps speed up decision-making and reduces the burden of reporting requests.

Some of Metamarkets’ clients include LinkedIn, Twitter, Yahoo, and Financial Times.
