Andrei Krivorukov’s life was saved when he went outside to collect firewood. When he went outside, a titanium ball from a Russian communication satellite crashed through his house. The Russian satellite that crashed through his house was a Meridian, which is used for military communications. The satellite was destroyed when a Soyuz-2 rocket exploded in midair after launching from the Russian spaceport, the Plesetsk Cosmodrome.
