Apple Releases New Version of Final Cut Pro

Today a new press release from Apple announced Final Cut Pro X, a new version of their video editing software. The key feature of this new release is the Magnetic Timeline, an intuitive trackless editing system that slides clips to the side and allow the user to drop in new clips wherever desired. The other new feature is Content Auto-Analysis, which uses tags to help sort and search footage based on type of shot, type of media and number of people in the frame.
Final Cut Pro X is available in the Mac App Store for $299.99.
Apple Final Cut Pro X Coming To Mac App Store In June

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has announced Final Cut Pro X at the National Association of Broadcasters conference in Las Vegas. Apple chief architect of video applications Randy Ubillos demonstrated the beta release on stage at the conference. Final Cut Pro X has a similar look and feel as iMovie. It will have 64-bit support and can handle 4K clips on 8-core editing rigs. You will be able to edit movies on the fly with Final Cut Pro X. Other new features include magnetic timeline, people detection, instant color matching between clips, auto image stablization upon importing, and smart media collection using custom keywords.
