iPhone 4 Owners Can Register For $15 “Antennagate” Settlements
The iPhone 4 “antennagate” class action settlement is a go according to Ira Rothken, the lead counsel on the case. If you are an iPhone 4 owner that has taken advantage of the free bumpers Apple has been offering since 2010, then you are still eligible for the $15 settlement. Apple iPhone 4 Antennagate Resolved. Owners To Receive $15 Or Free Case.
A class action lawsuit over the iPhone 4, known as Antennagate has been resolved. The resolution will allow U.S. residents that bought an iPhone 4 to have either $15 in cash or a free bumper case. CNET has quoted co-lead counsel Ira Rothken as saying that the settlement is “fair and reasonable,” which affects 25 million people who will be notified by email and through print ads in USA Today and Macworld.

Siri Gets Hacked On To iPod Touch [VIDEO]
The Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) voice recognition system known as Siri is officially available to all iPhone 4S users. However hackers have been spending time trying to get Siri to work on other devices like the iPhone 4 and the iPod Touch. Earlier attempts were only able to get the user interface working on the iPhone 4, but the voice recognition service did not do very well. Developers @stroughtonsmith and @chpwn has successfully been able to integrate Siri into the older devices. Check out the video below of Siri in action on an iPod Touch 4G:

Thief Charged, Gizmodo Safe in iPhone 4 Prototype Theft Case
Last year a man named Brian Hogan found a prototype iPhone 4 in a bar and sold it to tech news site Gizmodo. CNET reports that Steve Wagstaffe, San Mateo County District Attorney, has just announced that Hogan will be charged for theft and that another man named Sage Robert Wallower is being charged as well. Gizmodo, its staff and its parent company Gawker Media are not being charged in any way. The relevant California law states that any person who finds lost property and knows who it belongs to and “appropriates such property to his own use, or to the use of another person not entitled thereto, without first making reasonable and just efforts to find the owner and restore the property to him, is guilty of theft.” [image via Gizmodo]
iPhone 4 Survives 13,500 Drop
Jarrod McKinney’s first iPhone 4 fell off a bathroom shelf and it cracked. He was shocked to see how easy it was to crack the glass of the iPhone 4. It turns out that same phone survived a 13,500 foot drop. After going skydiving, the iPhone 4 fell out of his pocket and it landed on a building that was about a half-mile away from where his parachute landed.

Apple Starts Selling Unlocked GSM iPhone 4 For $649
Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has started selling an unlocked version of the GSM iPhone 4 in the U.S. for $649. Both the white and black iPhone 4 smartphones are available for purchase unlocked. The 16GB and 32GB versions cost $649 and $749 respectively. The unlocked versions are not available for international shipping.

The iPhone 4 Uses An Audience Low Power Audio Noise Cancellation Processor
iFixit.com has opened the iPhone 4 to find out how the device mysteriously cancels internal noise. Inside of the iPhone 4 was a mysterious chip labeled 10C0 01S8 0077. The chip has a marking that is labeled Audience, indicating that the iPhone 4 uses an Audience-powered low power audio signal processor. This is the same processor that is used in the Nexus One.

Apple To Start Selling White iPhone 4 Tomorrow
Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) will officially start selling the white iPhone 4 tomorrow. It will be available at AT&T, Verizon Wireless, and Apple Authorized Reseller stores. “The white iPhone 4 has finally arrived and it’s beautiful,” stated Apple SVP of Worldwide Product Marketing Philip Schiller. “We appreciate everyone who has waited patiently while we’ve worked to get every detail right.” The white iPhone 4 will be available across the U.S., Austria, Australia, Belgium, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Macau, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand, and the UK with a suggested U.S. retail price of $199 for the 16GB model and $299 for the 32GB model with a new two-year agreement. Verizon Has Activated 2.2 Million iPhones In First Quarter
Verizon Wireless has announced their first quarter results and reported that they have activated 2.2 million iPhones in the first quarter and about 500,000 4G devices. Of the 500,000 4G devices, 260,000 were HTC Thunderbolts.

White iPhone 4 Appears In Verizon’s Inventory System
The white iPhone 4 developed by Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is starting to appear in Verizon’s inventory systems. Verizon will be selling the 16GB and the 32GB white iPhone 4 devices by the end of spring as consistent with earlier reports. The white iPhone 4 is known as MC679 in the screenshot above. [9to5Mac]
