iTunes 11: New Interface, iCloud, Better Search, Updated Mini Player, and Up Next

Apple has launched the new version of iTunes, known as iTunes 11. Apple redesigned the user interface of iTunes and it looks sleeker. It has more whitespace and the default view is a grid of album covers. When you click on the album covers, you will see the song listings. The left-side column is no longer around. You can switch to Artist/Album/Song/Playlists/Radio column view by clicking on the corresponding buttons.

Apple Adds Search To The Mini-Player In iTunes 11

For those of you that use iTunes a lot just like me, you will be pleased to know that Apple has added search to the mini-player in iTunes 11. Up until now, the mini-player just had the option to control the volume, play/pause, go to the previous track, and go to the next track. Generally I do not like my music player consuming up a lot of desktop space on my monitor so I thought this was worth pointing out. The search is split between Songs, Albums, and Artists. You can click on + and it will add the song next on the queue… then it goes back to the playlist and picks up where it left off.
