Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has launched iTunes Match today. iTunes Match came bundled with iTunes version 10.5.1. The iTunes Match service costs $24.99 per year and it gives you iTunes music store quality music and cloud availability for your collection. What iTunes Match does is checks to see if the music in your library is already on iTunes. If it is not on iTunes, then it will be uploaded to the cloud automatically. If it is in the iTunes music store, then Apple will check to see if there is a better quality version of that same song. iTunes Match will only allow a maximum of 25,000 songs and will not allow you to sign up if you are over the limit.
