Balanced Has Raised A $3.4 Million Seed Round

Balanced is a company that offers payment processing, escrow, and payout features using one simple API.  The company has raised a $3.4 million seed round of funding.  Of that total amount, two million dollars was added recently by Andreessen Horowitz, CollabFund, and various angel investors.  The initial $1.4 million of the seed round was from SV Angel, Brian Chesky (Airbnb CEO), Ashton Kutcher, Yishan Wong (Reddit CEO), and several others.

Ashton Kutcher is known for starring in several TV shows and movies. In Kutcher’s latest movie jOBS, he plays Steve Jobs, the late co-founder of Apple. Kutcher decided to be a method actor in the role of Jobs, meaning that he tried to follow Jobs’ lifestyle to a tee including dietary preferences. Ashton Kutcher Followed Steve Jobs’ Diet And Ended Up In The Hospital

Ashton Kutcher played the role of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs in the movie jOBS.  Kutcher applied a method acting technique to the role, which means that he tried to apply the emotions, thoughts, and essence of their characters.  Kutcher even took on the same diet Jobs had, which involved eating only fruit.  This ended up putting Kutcher in the hospital.

WATCH: Steve Wozniak Says That Clip From jOBS Is Inaccurate

The jOBS movie will be arriving in April.  Ashton Kutcher (as Steve Jobs) and Josh Gad (as Steve Wozniak) will be promoting the movie at Macworld in San Francisco.  A preview from the movie recently aired, but Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak said that it is an inaccurate portrayal of how him and Steve Jobs interacted with each other.  Wozniak said that they never had such interaction and roles in the clip below.
