Kevin Rose’s Milk Inc. Raises $1.5 Million
Milk Inc. is a new company that was co-founded by Kevin Rose. Rose is the founder of Digg and co-founder of Revision3. Milk is essentially a company where several developers brainstorm technology and mobile ideas and works away at building them. If there isn’t any sudden traction, then the project gets shut down. Milk has raised $1.5 million in angel funding from well known investors. Investors include Mike Maples, Jr. (Floodgate), David Sze (Greylock Partners), Ron Conway, Dave Morin, Philip Rosedale, Evan Williams, Joshua Schachter, Ashton Kutcher, Michael Arrington, Philip Kaplan, Chris Sacca, Tony Hsieh, Gary Vaynerchuk, and several others. Confirmed: Flipboard Raises $50 Million At A $200 Million Valuation
Flipboard CEO Mike McCue has confirmed that the company has raised $50 million at a $200 million valuation. Insight Venture Partners led this round of funding. “We’re obviously thrilled, because we think it confirms our focus that people want a beautifully designed way to interact with content and to share it,” stated McCue. “And there is a lot more to come–on a scale of one to 10, we’re just at a two or three.”

Social Media Reading App Company Flipboard Raising Funding At $200 Million Valuation
Social media reading application company Flipboard is raising funding that would give them a $200 million valuation according to sources with AllThingsD. The valuation is subject to change. Flipboard was co-founded by Mike McCue and former Apple iPhone engineer Evan Doll. When Flipboard launched in January, they had raised $10.5 million in VC funding from Kleiner Perkins, Index Centures, Jack Dorsey, Dustin Moskovitz, Ron Conway, Ashton Kutcher, and Peter Chernin. Ashton Kutcher’s Twitter Account Gets Hacked
The Twitter account belonging to actor Ashton Kutcher has been hacked. The hacker on the account wrote “Ashton, you’ve been Punk’d. This account is not secure. Dude, where’s my SSL?” It is likely that the hacker used Firesheep to sniff and hijack browsing sessions. It is likely that Twitter already resolved the issue. [Gizmodo]

Blekko Raises $200,000 From Ashton Kutcher
Search engine Blekko.com has raised $200,000 from actor Ashton Kutcher. The $200,000 is an extension to the company’s most recent round of funding. So far Blekko has raised close to $25 million in debt and equity capital. The company started in September 2007 and was co-founded by Greg Lindahl, Rich Skrenta, and Mike Markson.

Ashton and Demi Not Happy About Twitter TV Show Article
Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore are two of the most active celebrities using Twitter. Recently it was reported that several Hollywood executives are interested in creating a show that leverages Twitter’s service. Since that announcement was made, Twitter denied their direct involvement with the creation of a Twitter TV show.
However when the Examiner wrote the following news article, Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore reported that they may quit using Twitter immediately. The article reported that Hollywood execs will be using Twitter to help find celebrites using the pictures that they send out in a competition format.
Below are the responses that both celebrities tweeted out in reaction to the article:
Ashton: “Wow I hope this isn’t true. I really don’t like being sold out. May have to take a twitter hiatus. http://bit.ly/155I15″
Demi: “hope this isn’t true-if it is our Twitter time may come to a quick and sad end!”
Given Twitter’s denial in their involvement with the situation, I have reason to believe that a Twitter TV show will never be created. The article is basically sensationalizing a rumor.

Ashton Kutcher Beating Britney Spears In 1 Million Twitter Follower Race
Ashton Kutcher and Britney Spears are fighting to hit 1 million followers on Twitter. Britney currently has 912,520 followers and Ashton has 914,473. Both are competing with the CNNbrk account which tweets out breaking news on CNN.com. CNNbrk has about 946,673 followers.
If Ashton wins, Electronic Arts agreed to put the millionth follower in the next version of The Sims. Perhaps that will give people incentive to follow the That 70′s Show star. Ashton’s wife, Demi Moore has about half a million followers on Twitter, but keep in mind that she has already saved a life using the service.
