AT&T Now Accepting Lumia 900 Pre-Orders


AT&T is now accepting pre-orders of the Lumia 900 ahead of the April 8th release in the U.S. The pre-orders are happening through AT&T retail stores and online stores. You can pre-order matte black or cyan blue right now. However the white version will not be available until April 22nd. The Lumia 900 can be purchased for $100 plus two year agreement. However Walmart is offering the device for only $50 with a two-year agreement.

FCC Responds To AT&T’s Claims That T-Mobile Could Have Avoided Layoffs


The Federal Communications Commission has rejected a notion that job cuts at T-Mobile are a sign that regulators should have allowed AT&T to buy them out. T-Mobile said that they were closing 7 call centers, which would lead to 1,900 jobs being cut.

AT&T Nokia Lumia 900 Expected To Debut On April 22


AT&T was supposed to be released this January, but it has been delayed. The Nokia Lumia 900 will retail for $99.99 with a two-year agreement when it launches on AT&T. Then it was rumored to launch on March 18th, but now it has been delayed until April 22nd. [BGR]

AT&T To Sell HTC One X In The Coming Months


When the HTC One X goes for sale, it will be exclusive to AT&T. The One X has an LTE radio, 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, and Beats by Dr. Dre sound. Matt Spaccarelli Wins Data Throttling Case Against AT&T In Small Claims Court


Matt Spaccarelli is an unemployed truck driver that took AT&T to small claims court and won. He won $850 from the telecommunications company in the lawsuit. AT&T was throttling his data service for his iPhone. This past Friday, Pro-tem Judge Russell Nadel was in favor of Spaccarelli at the Ventura Superior Court in Simi Valley.

Why Throttling Unlimited Data Plans Is Pointless


Validas has released a new study that claims that data throttling on wireless data plans does nothing to alleviate data congestion on the wireless network. AT&T and others have claimed that throttling is done on the top users of bandwidth on its network to ensure bandwidth is available for everyone. However Validas extracted data from 55,000 cell phone bills that belonged to AT&T and Verizon Wireless customers in 2011. The result of the bills is that throttling isn’t doing anything.

Samsung Rugby Smart Coming To AT&T For $100 On March 4

AT&T and Samsung has announced that the Samsung Rugby Smart will be coming to AT&T stores on March 4th. The $100 phone is “waterproof” meaning that it can be submerged under one meter of water for up to 30 minutes. The phone is built to military specifications of 810F standards. Other specs include Android 2.3 operating system, 3.7-inch WVGA Super AMOLED panel, 4GB internal storage, 1,650mAh battery, 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera, 5 megapixel rear facing autofocus camera with LED flash and 720p video capture. AT&T To Throttle Unlimited Data Users After 2GB Is Used Per Month


This past October AT&T had announced that they will start throttling the data usage for customers that were on the Unlimited Data Plan. Even though AT&T no longer allows Unlimited Data for new customers, many of the original iPhone buyers were grandfathered into the plan. These iPhone customers retain the unlimited plans even though AT&T has switched their existing plans into tiered data plan structures. It turns out that AT&T has started throttling these unlimited data users after 2GB of data is used now.

AT&T To Provide T-Mobile With 7-Year 3G Roaming Deal After Ending Bid


AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) is ending their bid for T-Mobile USA. AT&T had announced in March 2011 that they have offered $39 billion to acquire T-Mobile USA from Deutsche Telekom.
