LG G Flex pre-orders with AT&T are starting January 24th

AT&T has beat Sprint in offering the LG G Flex first. The LG G Flex can be pre-ordered through AT&T on January 24th, which is one week before Sprint’s January 31st date. AT&T did not not provide a date on when the G Flex would be delivered though. T-Mobile is also going to sell the G Flex, but has not given an exact date yet. AT&T is selling the G Flex for  $299.99 with a 2-year contract. There are 12 month and 18 month Next financing plans available for the phone. The G Flex is unique for having a “self-healing” back and a curved screen.

T-Mobile is going to pay your termination fees if you switch to them

One of the biggest nuisances of signing a contract with telecommunication carriers is dealing with the early termination fees (ETFs) involved with switching. However, T-Mobile is making is encouraging people to switch to them. T-Mobile will now cover your early termination fee if you switch to them. T-Mobile is also going to give people that switch to them an instant credit on old phones for up to $300.

The story of T-Mobile CEO John Legere getting kicked out of an AT&T party

Here’s an interesting story: AT&T attempted to buyout T-Mobile in 2011 for $39 billion. Government regulators blocked the deal so AT&T gave T-Mobile a break-up free and they continued to be bitter rivals. Fast forward to 2013 and now T-Mobile CEO John Legere (pictured above) is getting kicked out of AT&T’s CES party. Legere was named CEO of T-Mobile in September 2012 and has been driving T-Mobile’s unique “uncannier” plans.

Tesla Motors Inc (TSLA) signs a multi-year agreement with AT&T

Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) has signed a multiple year agreement with AT&T. As part of the agreement, current and future Tesla vehicles in North America will have access to high speed wireless connectivity. AT&T is going to power the Tesla remote engine diagnostics, telematics, and infotainment system. AT&T will also power Tesla’s Internet browsing, live traffic, weather, and navigation.

AT&T launches global automative platform AT&T Drive

At CES, AT&T has launched a connected car center in Atlanta called the AT&T Drive Studio and has also announced a global automotive platform called AT&T Drive. Almost every automobile manufacturer is working towards connected cars using 4G LTE networks. The AT&T Drive Studio is 5,000 square feet and will feature working garage bays, a speech lab, and a showroom that shows the latest innovations.

AT&T’s Sponsored Data allows companies to subsidize data charges in exchange for viewing content

AT&T has announced a new service called Sponsored Data. The Sponsored Data service offers a way for companies pay for data usage when products or services are used. Users will see a “sponsored” symbol in the status bar and all of the data charges are going to be redirected to the sponsoring company.

AT&T (T) 4G LTE now overs over 270 million people

AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) is adding more 4G LTE networks to their network. Today AT&T announced that they are expanding their 4G LTE network to 20 more markets. Now AT&T covers over 270 million people. AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) head of mobility Ralph de la Vega has announced that the company will be launching HD voice later this year. Ralph de la Vega made the announcement at the developer press conference. Ralph de la Vega also announced a new Asus smartphone called the Padfone X, which will be the first smartphone to access the AT&T LTE Advanced network along with HD voice.
