Kimora Lee Simmons is the ex-wife of music mogul Russell Simmons.  She is also a fashion model and the head of Phat Fashions, parent company of Baby Phat.  Simmons also had her own reality show called Kimora: Life in the Fab Lane. Over the weekend, Simmons gave birth to a son and tweeted the event taking place.

Around 10:10PM on May 29, Simmons tweeted: “It’s time !! No turning back! At hospital in labor right now!! Love & Light, KLS.”  About two hours later she wrote  “Having contractions now! Ooo- wee! It’s like WHOA! Love & Light, KLS.”

The next day around 7PM, Simmons wrote “It’s a boy! Thanks to everyone out there for all your well wishes! More to come. Thank God. And God Bless! Kimora + Djimon Love & Light, KLS”  Above is the hospital photo that she sent out.

Two days before, the Baby Phat Twitter account launched a maternity t-shirt marketing campaign called “Celebrate Your ‘Phat Bump.’”

Personally I watched Simmons’ reality show once and I did not really enjoy it at all. But then again I have little patience for reality shows. I don’t have enough patience to watch more than 30 minutes of Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
