General Motors Company (GM) announces 2015 Cadillac ATS Coupe

General Motors Company (NYSE:GM) has announced the 2015 ATS coupe, which is launching in summer 2014. This is GM’s first compact luxury coupe. Consumers will get a choice between a rear-wheel drive or all-wheel driver. It will have either a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder or a 3.6L six-cylinder.

Cadillac CUE To Improve Responsiveness Later This Year

General Motors is working on updating the Cadillac User Experience (CUE) infotainment system.  The system has a capacitive touchscreen and multi-touch controls.  Unfortunately the CUE is not responsive and it lags.  Later this year, Cadillac will release an update for the infotainment system to improve the feedback for the touchscreen controls and the capacitive virtual buttons on the center stack.

Interview With General Motors Lead Engineer For Sensor Fusion Jim Nickolaou

Earlier this month General Motors conducted an experiment on the Brooklyn Bridge in New York to test out the Cadillac’s new Driver Awareness and Driver Assist active safety technologies.  This includes the ability to maintain a safe following distance in stop-and-go traffic.  The Brooklyn Bridge’s metal design and traffic let GM engineers refine radar sensors so that they are able to tell the difference between stationary objects (guard rails and bridge structure) from actual vehicle traffic.

GM Launches Massive Campaign: “Cadillac ATS vs. the World”


General Motors has launched a massive marketing campaign today since emerging from bankruptcy. The campaign is around the Cadillac ATS sedan, which directly competes against the BMW 3-series vehicles. GM has not had a small luxury car in a long time. The 2013 is the smallest and least expensive Cadillac, which will go on sale next month after the launch of the XTS sedan. The ATS has a starting price of a bit under $34,000.

GM Announces Cadillac CUE, An Intuitively Designed Infotainment System With Audio Commands


General Motors Company (NYSE:GM) has announced an in-vehicle infotainment system with an intuitive design with auto industry-first controls called the Cadillac User Experience (CUE). The CUE will launch in 2012 with the Cadillac XTS, Cadillac ATS, and the Cadillac SRX.
