Webcam speed dating service Chatroulette has launched two new features this past week. The two new features include Channelroulette, a themed channel and Localroulette, a localized version of the website. Localroulette automatically connects people to local editions of Chatroulette based on the IP address. Chatroulette shows the most popular custom channels on their website. iChatr is a free iPhone application that connects you to other random iPhone 4 users in the world. To make the app work, you have to be connected to WiFi and wear headphones. If you get bored of a person, then just swipe the screen and you will be connected to another person. This is a nifty app for those who are into the speed dating concept. I have only 2 friends that have an iPhone 4 so this gives another opportunity to utilize the FaceTime feature more too. The application idea is very similar to webcam/chatroom website Chatroulette. Ben Folds Plays Homage To Chatroulette Improv’s Merton [VIDEO]
Ben Folds, the former frontman of the band Ben Folds Five played a tribute to Merton of Chatroulette Improv fame. Folds was playing in front of 2,000 people in Charlotte, North Carolina. Ben Folds played a song about every random person he saw on Chatroulette. I especially liked 3:38 when Ben Folds played a song for a guy sitting on the toilet.
