GoDaddy’s Support Of SOPA Leads To Mass Customer Exodus
Earlier this morning, a post was submitted to Reddit.com that gained a lot of traction. The post was submitted that claims to be an IT director for a major American company. The company urged other people on Reddit to make December 29th the day to transfer domain names away from GoDaddy to protest the company’s support of SOPA (Stop Online Privacy Act). The IT director said that he had already transferred 51 personal domain names and 300 personal ones in his capacity. GoDaddy currently hosts over 50 million domain names.

Cheezburger Networks Acquires Know Your Meme
Cheezburger Networks, the parent company of I Can Has Cheezburger, Fail Blog, and The Daily What has acquired a company called Know Your Meme. Know Your Meme is a web video series that spun out of a company called Rocketboom. Know Your Meme receives millions of views in its weekly episodes. This past January, Cheezburger Networks raised $30 million in funding from the Foundry Group, Avalon Ventures, SoftBank Capital, and Madrona Venture Group. [Tubefilter]

NMA Animates The Cheezburger Network Funding News [VIDEO]
NMA.tv is a Taiwanese animation company that does parodies of world events and news. In this case they decided to target the Cheezburger network. Cheezburger Blog Network Raises $30 Million
The Cheezburger network of websites include FAIL Blog and LOLcats. The company has raised $30 million in funding led by the Foundry Group, Avalon Ventures, Madrona Venture Group, and SoftBank Capital. Brad Feld (Foundry), Greg Gottesman (Madrona), and Rich Levandov (Avalon) will be joining the board of directors at Cheezburger. I Can Has Cheezburger now has a total of $32.5 million.

Cheezburger Networks Hires Pearl Chan As CFO
Cheezburger Networks has hired Pearl Chan as the company’s chief financial officer. Ben Huh, the founder of the Cheezburger Network will now have a chance to focus on recruiting developers and pursue more partnerships.
