Courtney Love Now Involved In A Lawsuit Because Of Tweets

Courtney Love, the lead singer for alternative rock band Hole and widow to the late Kurt Cobain, is in the middle of a lawsuit because of some tweets that she sent out. When Love got into a billing dispute with Dawn Simorangkir (Boudoir Queen), she wrote some verbal attacks on Twitter. Love had over 40,000 Twitter followers at the time. Love also wrote about Simorangkir on her Etsy account and MySpace account. Now Simorangkir claims that these comments have damaged her career and she is demanding multi-millions of dollars from Love. Love’s attorney is claiming that no hard was done to Simorangkir’s reputation.

Simorangkir plans on calling in a social media expert to testify about the number of people who saw the tweets and the credibility that could be lost by the verbal assaults. A witness for Love will present an insanity defense for the rock star’s actions.

Courtney Love Is Not Happy About Guitar Hero 5 Using Kurt Cobain Avatar

Courtney Love is a musician and a widow. Her late husband Kurt Cobain was the lead singer of 90′s rock group Nirvana. At the age of 27, Cobain shot himself. Cobain and his wife were both struggling with drug abuse at the time of the incident.

In the video game Guitar Hero 5, an avatar that resembles the late Cobain appears to be singing the tracks of various artists including Bon Jovi. “FOR THE RECORD I DID NOT APPROVE KURTS AVATAR FOR GUYITARHERO5. i think Kurt would despise this game alone let alone this avatar,” tweeted Love.

However game company Activision said that it was “great to work with [Love].” They even added that Love even gave them photos and videos to use for the game. Love even picked the wardrobe and hairstyle. Love denies this saying that it is the fault of Dave Grohl and Activision. Grohl is the former drummer of Nirvana and currently plays for the Foo Fighters. Love said that she and Cobain Enterprises plans to “sue the shit out of Activison.”

Guitar Hero 5 hit the shelves about 10 days ago in the U.S.. It will be releasing in Europe today and Australia on the 16th.

Mark Cuban Fined & Courtney Love Sued For Using Twitter To Vent

On March 27, Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban was fined $25,000 by the NBA for writing his opinion on Twitter. He sent out two messages on two messages in particular about the handling of a game by the referees. Cuban was upset that the referees did not call a technical foul on Denver Nuggets guard J.R. Smith for taunting Antoine Wright of the Dallas Mavericks.
The first message was: “how do they not call a tech on JR Smith for coming off the bench to taunt our player on the ground ?”
The second message was: “scary part of that play: Same crew chief from game in Denver where they missed call – last play of the game & 1st JRSmith/Wright issue.”

After finding out about the fine that did not stop Cuban from tweeting about the situation. He wrote:
“just found out got fined25k by nba. nice,” and then followed it up with a quip, “can’t say no one makes money from twitter now. the nba does.”

Courtney Love is the lead singer of the alternative rock band Hole and was married to Kurt Cobain before he committed suicide. Love also has a Twitter account and she used it to complain about conflicts that she has with clothing designer Dawn Simorangkir. Simorangkir is suing Love for defamation.
