Blueseed has received hundreds of applications. The concept behind Blueseed is that a decommissioned cruise ship will be converted into office space in the open sea. The Blueseed floating island ship would be only 30 minutes from California’s northern coast. The executive board at Blueseed include Max Marty (CEO), Dario Mutabdzija (President), Dan Dascalescu (CIO), and Sam Bhagwat (CFO). A visa is not needed to participate in Blueseed. The 1,000 live-in entrepreneurs on deck would cost $1,200 to $3,000 per month per person for living quarters and office space. This would help pay for converting the decommissioned luxury cruise liner revamp, which is estimated to cost $10 to $25 million.
