Dell Ending The Adamo Brand And Line Of Laptops
Dell Inc. (NASDAQ:DELL) is ending the Adamo line of laptops and the brand. The Adamo has an aluminum case and was 0.65 inches thin. The Adamo also uses solid-state drives and has Intel Core 2 Duo processors. That means that these laptops was a rival of the MacBook Air. The major downfall of the Adamo was the price. It first started at around $2,000 and gradually started to drop. Today the price is at about $799. Future Adamo designs will be branded under Inspiron, XPS, and Alienware. [CNET]

Dell Adamo Announced At $1,999, Shipping On March 26
Dell has officially announced that the Adamo computer t0day. The Dell Adamo will be the first machine in their Adamo line of laptops. The monitor size is 13.4″ and the processor is 1.2GHz Core 2 Duo U9300 with integrated Intel X4500 graphics. The Adamo has 2GB of memory and a 128GB SSD. The weight is about 4 lbs, one lb. more than a MacBook Air.
This baby will cost $1,999 and will be shipping worldwide on March 26.
