Dell Venue Pro For AT&T Gets An FCC Certification

Our friends over at Engadget were searching through the FCC databases and spotted that the Dell Venue Pro for AT&T has received a certification. This is great news if you like the phone and want to stay away from T-Mobile. In the FCC archives, the Dell Venue Pro appears to have WCDMA Band II and V support, which means that it will have the ability to work on AT&T, Rogers, Bell, and/or Telus. However do not get your hopes up right away. The FCC sometimes approve devices that never arrive on the market. [Engadget]

Dell To Use Their Own Service Instead Of 25,000 Employee BlackBerrys

Dell Inc. (NASDAQ:DELL) is replacing 25,000 BlackBerrys at their company with their own smartphones. They will also be launching an aggressive marketing campaign to convince companies to use Dell smartphones instead of BlackBerry devices. “Clearly in this decision we are competing with RIM, because we’re kicking them out,” stated Dell CFO Brian Gladden in an interview.

Microsoft Announces 10 Windows Phone 7 Devices Across 30 Countries

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) hosted an event in New York City today to announce new smartphones powered by the Windows Phone 7 operating system. There will be 9 new WP7 smartphones heading to Europe and Asia on October 21st. U.S. consumers will be getting their hands on WP7 devices in early November, just-in-time for the holiday season.
