Curebit Raises $1.2 Million, Gets Caught Stealing 37Signals Design


Curebit is an online customer referral platform company that utilizes “word-of-mouth” advertising. The company has raised $1.2 million in funding from 500 Startups, Karl Jacob, Auren Hoffman, Dharmesh Shah, Gordon Tucker, Alex Lloyd, and several others. Curebit will use the funding for product development and expanding their team. This is great news for the company, but VentureBeat noticed that their homepage used to be a direct copy from 37signals.

Nimble Receives $1 Million From Mark Cuban, Jason Calacanis, Don Dodge, Dharmesh Shah, Google Ventures, Etc.

Nimble is a customer relationship management startup company that has raised $1 million in funding from Mark Cuban, Dharmesh Shah, Jason Calacanis, Don Dodge, Google Ventures, etc.  Nimble CEO Jon Ferrara believes that Nimble is a combination of Hootsuite, Yammer, and Salesforce.com.

HubSpot Raises $32 Million In Series D


Brian Halligan and Dharmesh Shah founded HubSpot Inc. in 2006 and they have recently raised $32 million in Series D. The funding was provided by new investors Google Ventures, Sequoia Capital, and Salesforce.com. Existing investors General Catalyst, Matrix Partners, and Scale Venture Partners also participated in this round. HubSpot has raised a total of $65 million thus far.
