Ford Using Animation For C-Max Ads

Ford Motor Company is challenging the Toyota Prius with the C-Max wagon vehicle.  Ford is bringing this vehicle from Europe to the United States.  Ford is promoting the C-Max in the form of an animated ad campaign.  They will debut the commercial on CNN featuring drawings of a character driving a C-Max past a Prius V wagon.

Ford Reducing Use Of Rare Earth Metals In Lithium-Ion Batteries

Ford Motor Company is reducing the need for rare earth metals used in battery production.  Currently China has a majority of the world supply of rare earth metals and they are increasing their grip on the materials to drive up the prices.  Ford recently announced new lithium-ion batteries and were designed to reduce the use of rare earth metals.

Ford C-Max Hybrid Rated 47MPG

Ford Motor Company has just sent out a press release that reveals how far the Ford C-Max Hybrid can go.  The fuel economy rating for the car is 47MPG in the city and on the highway.  This is further than the Toyota Prius V, which peaks at 44MPG on the highway and 40MPG in the city.  The C-Max Hybrid will cost $25,995.  Below is the press release:
