Lightweight Plastic Used By Ford Inspired By Nestlé’s Aero Chocolate Bar
Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) was inspired by the Nestlé Aero chocolate bar for creating some ultra-light plastic for their cars. In order to make a lighter plastic for a better handling and accelerating, but not compromising on its strength Ford looked at the bubbly honeycomb substance used in the chocolate. The MuCell plastic is 20% lighter and can be produced efficiently at around 33% more parts per hour. [GizMag]

Ford CEO Alan Mulally Receives $33 Million In Stock
Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) has given financial rewards to executives involved in the company. Ford CEO Alan Mulally was granted $33.4 million in stock after taxes according to a filing with the SEC. Mulally was essential in Ford’s amazing turnaround in terms of profits and stock price. Bill Ford Jr. took $25 million after tax in the form of unrestricted stock.

Ford May Add $10 Billion To Net Income Through A Simple Accounting Change
In a 10-K report filed with the SEC, it was revealed that Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) could add $10 billion to their net income with a mere account change. Not only is the accounting change very legit, but they are obliged to make the accounting change.

Ford and Sollors Launch A 50:50 Joint Venture
Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) and Russian auto company Sollors has signed a 50:50-owned joint venture. Ford Sollors will be manufacturing and distribute Ford vehicles in Russia. Ford and Ferrari Settle Lawsuit
Earlier this month Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) sued Ferrari over trademark infringement. Ferrari settled by naming their 2011 Ferrari Formula Once race car from the F150 to the F150th Italia. Ford wanted Ferrari to stop using F150 on any products in the U.S. and sought $100,000 in damages under the Anticybersquatting consumer Protection Act. [eGMCarTech]

Ford Fan Made Ad Could Be A Good Response To Chrysler-Eminem [VIDEO]
In the clip above, you will see a video made by Motofinity. This Ford-inspired video could be a pretty good response to the Chrysler-Eminem commercial that aired during the Super Bowl (see video below). The Chrylser-Eminem ad was viewed over 6 million times on YouTube and received a lot of hype during and after the Super Bowl. A lot of people from Michigan wrote the ad tagline (“Imported from Detroit” ) in their tweets and Facebook statuses after watching the Chrysler ad.

Ford Suing Ferrari For Using F-150 Name
Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) is suing Ferrari for using the name F-150 for their 2011 Formula One race car. Ford cited trademark infringement and cybersquatting in the lawsuit. The lawsuit was filed in the U.S. District Court in Detroit. Ford said that they registered the F-150 trademark in 1995. They want Ferrari to stop using the F150 name on any products in the U.S. They also wanted $100,000 in damages. [eGMCarTech]

Blind Man Mark Anthony Riccobono Drives Around A Ford Escape On The Daytona International Speedway
Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) designed a Ford Escape Hybrid vehicle that blind man Mark Anthony Riccobono was able to drive on the Daytona International Speedway. A van in front of him threw stationary and moving obstacles into the road, but Riccobono was able to dodge them. The high-tech SUV has a laser range finder that displayed a 3D map in front of the vehicle. The details from the 3D map were sent to the driver using a pair of vibrating globes that told the driver where to turn. Ford Had $8.3 Billion In Pre-Tax Profits For 2010
Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) has announced their biggest annual profit in the last decade. Ford made about $8.3 billion in pre-tax profits for 2010. This is a $3.8 billion increase from about a year ago. Ford had ended 2010 with automotive gross cash exeeding debt by about $1.4 billion. This is an improvement of $10.1 billion for the year ending 2009.
