MapBox Raises $10 Million In Funding From Foundry Group

MapBox has announced that they have raised $10 million in Series A funding from Foundry Group.  MapBox makes it possible to create customized and interactive maps for websites and apps using open-source tools.  MapBox is known for powering the maps on websites like Hipmunk, Uber, Foursquare, and Evernote.  MapBox will be using the funding to double their 35 member team in San Francisco and Washington D.C.

3D Robotics Has Raised $30 Million

3D Robotics has announced that they have raised $30 million in Series B funding from Foundry Group, True Ventures, O’Reilly AlphaTech Ventures, and SK Ventures.  3D Robotics previously raised $5 million in funding from many of the same investors.

Yesware is a startup that has raised $13.5 million in Series B funding, led by Battery Ventures.  Existing investors Google Ventures, Foundry Group, IDG Ventures, and Golden Venture Partners also participated in this round.  Yesware has raised a total of $18.5 million.

Fitbit Raises $43 Million From Qualcomm, SAP, SoftBank, True, and Foundry

Fitbit is a company that has created several digital fitness trackers.  Fitbit has raised $43 million in funding, according to an SEC filing found by TechCrunchQualcomm Ventures, SAP Ventures, Foundry Group, True Ventures, and SoftBank Capital participated in this round.  Fitbit’s most popular devices are the Fitbit One, Fitbit Zip, and Fitbit Flex.
