Fox News anchor Bill O’Reilly interviewed Glenn Beck about what he is going to do when he steps down from his daily program. Beck is working on a new web TV venture and his online deals website Markdown.com. Throughout the interview, O’Reilly mocked Beck about his physique, a clothing line that he should start, and his Internet ventures. O’Reilly is pretty funny in this clip, check it out above. [HuffPo]

Justin Walker has been convicted of killing a Sheriff in Oklahoma. He is currently serving a 30 year prison sentence and somehow managed to smuggle a BlackBerry into jail. Using the BlackBerry, he has been posting photos from jail with fellow inmates. He also posted photos of him licking a knife, smoking a bong, and holding up a bag of marijuana.

FOX 23 News found out about his Facebook account known as Jus N Walk. After FOX 23 created the report, they notified the authorities about the Facebook account. That account is no longer active and there is a chance that Walker may end up doing more time in prison since it is a felony to have a phone in prison. Check out the video below of the report:
This morning around 9AM, the Jewish Funds for Justice decided to “stormtweet” Fox News and Glenn Beck as a protest. Glenn Beck criticized the Jewish Funds for Justice by calling the faith-based idea as “social justice.” The JFSJ collected about 1,500 haikus to use against him.

The Justice will be sending a haiku to Beck once every minute. The purpose is “to confront Glenn Beck about his bizarre and incongruous opinion that there is no place for social and economic justice in religion.” This is supposed to be the first large-scale Twitter protest of its kind.

Apple recently boycotted advertisements on Fox News because of Glenn Beck. Angelo Carusone launched a Stop Beck campaign that contributed to the boycott. Simon Owens sent us a news tip about an interview he conducted with Carusone.

Conservative news reporting agency FOX news and social network MySpace have launched a citizen journalism website called uReport. On uReport, MySpace users can contribute videos, pictures, stories and add their favorite FOX News personalities such as Bill O’Reilly and Sean Hannity. So far I think the website design itself looks poorly designed and executed.

There is literally nothing under the World, Entertainment, and Politics section as of right now (screenshot below). Based on first impression, I would have no reason to come back to the website. uReport is very similar to the citizen journalism service put together by CNN called iReport.

Using Facebook, CNN iReport contributors can send footage, photos, etc. Initially iReport had some flaws because someone had posted a story about Steve Jobs having a heart attack. This caused Apple’s stock to plummet temporarily. Since that event iReport has been monitored closely.

Both citizen journalism services have their own advantages and disadvantages. MySpace has over 150 million users and CNN airs in over 100 million households on TV. Both services are also competing against Twitter users where people are quickly reporting the news and uploading pictures as it happens.

What are your thoughts on uReport?
