Fullscreen Releases First YouTube App For Google Glass

Fullscreen is a company that helps new channel and networks thrive when producing high-quality online video.  Founded in January 2011 by a former Strategic Partner Developer executive at Google, George Strompolos, Fullscreen recognizes that online video will soon become a viable alternative to TV and cable.  Today Fullscreen has 80 employees and is headquartered in Los Angeles, California.  On Friday, Fullscreen released the first YouTube application for Google’s smart-glasses product, Google Glass. The new YouTube-focused Google Glass application is called Fullscreen BEAM.

YouTube’s Top 5 Channels Drive 1.5 Billion Monthly Streams

According to Nielsen, the top five YouTube channel partners drove a combined number of 1.5 billion total streams in May 2012.  The top 5 channel partners include Vevo, WMG, Machinima, Fullscreen, and Maker.  YouTube gives content creators tools and programs to improve skills, build audiences, and monetize videos.  YouTube received 136 million unique viewers who streamed 16 billion videos during May 2012.  Below are some additional bullet-points put together by Nielsen.
