Garmin-Asus is working on a new mobile device that will be powered by the Google Android operating system.  The company plans to launch the smartphone “no later than the first quarter of next year.”  The device may arrive even earlier, but there is no word about the price yet.  Garmin-Asus has created a Linux-powered phone called the G60 and a WinMo 6.1 powered phone called the M20.  The phone pictured above is the G60.  Garmin-Asus is a joint venture between GPS company Garmin and PC vendor Asustek Computer (Asus).
